Join Regina Burgio for an on-going “Yoga for Healthy Bones” class held every Thursday from 12:00-1:00pm. Recent studies have shown that yoga is one of the safest preventative measures and treatments for osteoporosis and low bone mass, a condition that affects half of everyone over the age of 50.
In this class you will learn ways to strengthen your bones and muscles through poses and exercises that improve posture, balance and strength, in a safe and supportive environment. Ideal also for people of any age who are feeling the negative effects of technology on their body and mind. Hunching over mobile devices and office desks can lead to a host of muscular and spinal issues.
Classes will also incorporate breathing exercises and other relaxation techniques to reduce tension and anxiety. Leave feeling relaxed, empowered and standing taller!
Additionally, information on lifestyle and nutrition tips will be provided to help keep our bodies strong and happy from the inside out. All levels and ages welcome. Chairs and props will be available. Cost: $10 / $8 for BKC members
